Community Outreach

Changing the lives of others – and yourself
Service is an important aspect of campus life at KCU. From day one at KCU-Kansas City, you’ll be immersed in community service through our WE CARE Community Service Day during orientation.
Partnering with more than a dozen non-profit organizations, you, along with KCU-Kansas City faculty and staff, are matched to a community service project site in KC's urban core and spend the morning giving back.
Help provide care to thousands of patients, many of whom have not seen a physician in years.
KCU-Kansas City annually participates in international mission trips dedicated to providing much-needed health care to indigent and isolated people in remote areas around the world, including Guatemala, the Dominican Republic and Kenya.
Student clubs and organizations at KCU provide you the opportunity to give back to the external community in areas that matter most to you.
All student clubs are required to complete at least one community service project annually. Past projects include blood and food drives, youth fitness training and tutoring local children.
KCU-Kansas City and KCU-Joplin students help address disparities in access to health care for children and families in the Kansas City metropolitan area and Joplin's four corners region. Participate in Score 1 for Health and provide free, in-school health screenings, preventive health education and health-care mentors for children.
