As faculty members, you are an integral part of this celebration. KC and Joplin faculty are required to attend the commencement activities to celebrate the graduating COM and COB Classes of 2021.
Please notify the Provost should you be unable to attend. Contact Dr. Ed O’Connor at eoconnor@kansascity.edu and commencement@kansascity.edu by April 1, 2021 to be excused from the following events:

Regalia
Current Faculty:
- Please wear your previously purchased regalia.
- Check your regalia and confirm you still have all garments (hood, gown, tam/mortar board, tassel).
- Notify jcriss@kansascity.edu immediately, if you have any issues.
- Please take a moment to steam/press your own regalia before May 8-9.
New Faculty:
- You will receive an email from University Relations (UR) in January to gather your regalia information. Please reply promptly with confirmation of your order (no later than February 1, 2021).
- Your regalia will available for pick up the week of Commencement. The regalia is yours to keep for future years. Additional details to come from UR closer to graduation.
- Check your regalia and confirm you have received the correct garments. Notify jcriss@kansascity.edu immediately, if you have any issues.
- Please take a moment to steam/press your own regalia before May 8-9.
