Kansas City University’s Biomedical Sciences Program has teamed up with the University of Missouri–St. Louis (UMSL) College of Optometry to provide a clear path for KCU students to enter optometry school.
Through this new partnership, five students each year will be guaranteed a spot in UMSL’s optometry program.
“At KCU, we’re always looking for ways to expand our students’ horizons and support their growth,” said Robert White, PhD, dean of the College of Biosciences. “Collaborations like this help students make informed decisions about their future and discover new ways to make an impact in health care.”
Lydia Holland, a 2023 KCU alum and current first-year optometry student at UMSL, is the first to benefit from this new partnership.
