Senior Vice Provost for Student Success

Thomas Moorman, EdD, serves Kansas City University (KCU) as senior vice provost for student success where he provides strategic leadership for the Office of Student Services. In this role, he oversees the integration of several key student-facing departments: Engagement and Well-being, Student Affairs, Student Accommodation Services and Counseling Services.

Before his appointment at KCU, Dr. Moorman served as senior associate dean for Student Services at Idaho College of Osteopathic Medicine. He also dedicated 25 years to the University of North Texas Health Science Center (UNTHSC). While at UNTHSC, he was honored as one of the school’s 50 Heroes in 50 Years and was the inaugural recipient of their Valubility Award, presented to individuals who exemplify the values of the institution.

The Thomas Moorman Fellowship Program, offered through the Texas Association of College and University Student Personnel Administrators, is named in his honor. Dr. Moorman is a lifelong learner, holding a Doctor of Education from the University of North Texas, a Master of Science from Texas A&M University, and a Professional and Executive Coaching Certificate from the University of Texas at Dallas. He is also a professional certified coach through the International Coaching Federation.
