From dreaming about space travel to training as a future space doctor, Kansas City University graduate Jason-Flor Sisante is taking the next step toward a career in aerospace medicine through the United States Navy’s aerospace medicine program.
In a recent interview with Up To Date, Sisante reflected on his lifelong fascination with space and the path that led him to aerospace medicine, including his experiences with NASA and his vision for supporting astronaut health in extreme environments. He also discussed the growing need for physicians in space travel as missions become longer and more complex, including future journeys to Mars.
