Dr. Nikzad is an endodontist whose research focuses on the latest technologies in endodontics to improve clinical outcomes and preserve natural dentition. Her work emphasizes innovative approaches in endodontics, including advanced irrigation systems, laser-assisted techniques, virtual reality–based simulation training, and digital volumetric assessment of access cavity preparation. She is particularly interested in integrating emerging technologies into dental education and clinical practice to enhance precision, improve student training and support evidence-based patient care. In recognition of her contributions to innovation in endodontic research, she received the first-place award for Best Research in Endodontics at the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry in 2024.
