Step 1: Complete the AADSAS Application

Students apply through AADSAS, Associated American Dental Schools Application Service, beginning in May when the application portal opens. The first day to submit applications through AADSAS is June 1.

Step 2: Complete the Secondary Application

Upon review of your AADSAS application, KCU invites qualified applicants to complete our secondary application online. 

Step 3: Complete your Interview with KCU

If you submit your letters with your AADSAS application, we will download your letters to your KCU file. You do not need to send them to us again. Letters must be dated within two years of matriculation year (e.g., if starting classes at KCU in August 2025, letters must be dated no earlier than May 2023).

• One letter from a pre-health advisor or committee; may substitute a science faculty member who is familiar with your scholastic performance
• One letter from a dentist (non-family member)
• One letter from an individual who can attest to your academic strengths, abilities and fit for dental school 

Step 4: Complete your Interview with KCU

Invitations for interviews will be sent to the email provided in your AADSAS application. Interviews are conducted virtually and are by invitation only. Interviews begin in August and typically end in February. You will be notified of a decision via email beginning December 13.
