Congratulations to KCU’s own Dr. Robert White and Annette Campbell, MPA, RN on being recognized by Ingram’s in the 2021 Class of Heroes and Icons in Healthcare.
Dr. Robert White – Icon of Education
In their February edition, Ingram’s celebrated six exceptional educators that have shown a rare level of commitment to education, and to bringing out the best in the region’s next cohort of employers, workers and upstanding citizens.
Since joining KCU in 2010, Dr. White, dean of the College of Biosciences, has authored more than 80 publications in peer-reviewed journals including the highly regarded Journal of the American Medical Association. Among his many contributions, Dr. White is a nearly four-fold increase in bioscience enrollment. Dr. White’s commitment to KCU’s students is evident in the countless hours he dedicates to ensuring their overall success. His leadership allows KCU’s College of Biosciences to be not only innovative but also grounded in compassion.
On behalf of KCU, we thank you, Dr. White, and congratulate you on being named a 2021 Icon of Education.
Annette Campbell – Hero in Healthcare
In their February edition, Ingram’s paid a salute to the Kansas City individuals and teams who cared tirelessly for all during a health crisis like no other seen in our lifetimes and reported for duty every day, exposing themselves and their families and weighing the risk of exposing families and loved ones.
For nearly 23 years, Annette Campbell has been the executive director to Score 1 for Health, a KCU outreach program that brings free health screenings to under-served children of the two Kansas Cities and Joplin, Mo., school districts. Every year, Annette continues to inspire us with her passion for protecting the health of elementary school children through Score 1 for Health. This past year, Annette has risen to the challenge of protecting the health of our own students, faculty and staff in challenging times, too.
Annette - on behalf of KCU, we are thankful for your leadership and honored to call you a Hero in Healthcare.
