Kansas City University (KCU) has appointed W. Joshua Cox, DO, FACOFP, as senior vice president of Clinical Affairs. In this expanded leadership role, Cox will continue serving as executive dean of the College of Osteopathic Medicine while providing strategic oversight for the University's growing clinical partnerships and clinical education enterprise.

"Dr. Cox has helped guide KCU through a period of significant growth and transformation," said Marc B. Hahn, DO, president and CEO of KCU. "I am confident his experience, judgment and collaborative approach will continue to strengthen our University and help position KCU for continued success."

A member of the KCU community for more than 20 years, Cox has held numerous leadership positions, including campus dean, executive dean, vice provost for medical affairs and, most recently, interim provost. Throughout his tenure, Cox has demonstrated a strong commitment to KCU by supporting institutional growth, strengthening relationships with clinical education partners and advancing the University’s vision of changing health care for good.

"I'm honored to continue serving KCU in this expanded role," said Cox. "Our clinical partners are essential to preparing the next generation of physicians, and I look forward to strengthening those relationships while creating new opportunities that enhance the educational experience for our students and ultimately improve the health of the communities we serve."
