Kansas City University faculty and staff celebrated Laura Rosch, DO and her service as Joplin campus dean on Thursday, June 23. Rosch will return to Chicago and her alma mater where she will take the reigns as dean of Midwestern University Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine.
“During her tenure, Dr. Rosch immersed herself into KCU-Joplin and the Joplin community. She built partnerships with our Joplin strategic partners, not only in the clinical setting, but with the surrounding business community and chambers of commerce,” said Marc B. Hahn, DO, KCU president and CEO. “Dr. Rosch created a culture of inclusion, teamwork and encouragement for faculty, staff, and in particular, our students. Her empathic nature has been her hallmark with the students, faculty and staff.”
A champion of health screening and self-care, the KCU community is all the richer for Rosch’s insight and wisdom. As a monthly guest on KSN-16’s Living Well, a lifestyles show, she educated viewers on wellness and a number of medical concerns. Additionally, she presents nationally as an expert on medical issues.
Prior to KCU, Rosch served as chair of the Department of Internal Medicine and Clinical Assistant Professor for the Department of Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine at Midwestern University in Downers Grove, Illinois. She continues to be involved with the American Osteopathic Association.
Thank you, Dr. Rosch, for serving KCU and the Joplin community! Godspeed.
