Dear KCU Community,

As we join the nation in honoring the legacy of the Reverend Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., we reflect on his lifelong commitment to justice, equality and service. His belief that meaningful change begins when we look beyond ourselves continues to inspire us.

At Kansas City University, our mission of improving the well-being of the communities we serve, guided by our values of excellence, equity and empathy closely aligns with Dr. King’s vision. This day reminds us of our shared responsibility to strengthen the communities around us.

This MLK Day, I encourage you to consider ways to give back in our Kansas City and Joplin communities as every act of service makes a difference and honors Dr. King’s enduring legacy.

True leadership is measured not only by what we achieve, but by how we uplift others. I hope you use this day to reflect, take action and lead with compassion and care.

Yours truly,

Marc
