Dear KCU Community,

I am deeply saddened by yet another incident of apparently racially motivated gun violence in our country. The shooter’s rampage in Atlanta, Georgia, resulted in the deaths of eight persons — six of whom were of Asian descent. Our deepest sympathies go to those who lost loved ones yesterday, and to all who have lost loved ones or suffered injury at the hands of violence and hate.

KCU strongly condemns racism and violence. We stand for justice, and we are committed to ensuring an environment of safety, peace and inclusion for all people.

As a health sciences university, we remain dedicated to the preservation of human life. As individuals and as a campus community, we must stand strong, stand together, and denounce these continued acts of violence that plague our country.

If at any time you need help or support, KCU counseling resources are available for students and for employees through our EAP at mycigna.com or by calling 877-622-4327.

Yours Truly,

Marc B. Hahn, DO
President and Chief Executive Officer
