Background

Dennis M. Abbott, D.D.S. graduated from Baylor College of Dentistry (now known as Texas A&M College of Dentistry) in 1994.  He completed graduate course work in cellular biology, microbiology, and immunology at the University at Buffalo from 1994 to 1997 and advanced training in periodontology and oral medicine at the University at Buffalo School of Dental Medicine from 1995 to 1997.  Prior to joining the faculty at KCU, Dr. Abbott owned and operated a private dental practice in Texas for 24 years and was a member of the dental oncology medical staff at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas. Dr. Abbott is an expert in treating medically complex patients and will be bringing this experience to the classroom in creating the integrated biomedical and clinical sciences curriculum at Kansas City University College of Dental Medicine.
