If you own a business that is based in Missouri or you generate income from certain Missouri-based activities, you have a chance to help KCU’s Score 1 for Health program and save on taxes at the same time through KCU’s NAP credit program.
Dr. Michael Spezia, an alum who practices in the in St Louis area wanted to make an impact through the Score 1 for Health program which offers free health screenings to underserved children while training KCU student doctors in the first and second years of medical school. Spezia practices in an underserved community and credits his experiences at KCU to developing his passion to serve.
"Donating to the Score 1 for Health Program sponsored by the University is very gratifying," Spezia said. “It exemplifies the spirit of service and stewardship to our needful communities.”
Spezia made a gift of $10,000 to the NAP Credit for Score 1 that is matched by the Gianinni Fund.
“I feel this donation is an extension of the spirit of our training at the Kansas City University of Medicine and Biosciences," Spezia said.
