Dear KCU Community,
Today, we recognize Juneteenth, a federal holiday commemorating the end of slavery in the United States and an important milestone in our nation's ongoing journey toward freedom and justice.
While we reflect on our history, we should also remember that slavery and human trafficking still exist in parts of the world today. Juneteenth reminds us that the pursuit of human dignity, opportunity and freedom remains unfinished and requires continued compassion, awareness and action.
As a university dedicated to improving the well-being of the communities we serve, KCU is guided by the values of Excellence, Equity and Empathy. These values call us to treat every individual with dignity and respect and to use our talents in service to others.
May this day serve as a reminder that each of us has a role in helping create a more just, compassionate and healthy world.
Yours truly,
Marc B. Hahn, DO
President and Chief Executive Officer
