Sheilahn Davis-Wyatt, FACHE

Sheilahn Davis-Wyatt is currently the chief operating officer (COO) of Planned Parenthood North Central States (PPNCS) and serves as the executive operational leader for the five-state region of Minnesota, North Dakota, South Dakota, Iowa and Nebraska. In this role, she ensures that PPNCS’s one- owned and one-managed Affiliate, with six ancillaries consisting of 13 different EINS (entities), achieves its strategic goals through effective and efficient operation and by establishing, directing, organizing and evaluating operations. She joined the organization after serving as the COO for Banner Estrella Medical Center in Phoenix, Arizona, where she was responsible for developing service excellence, meeting quality clinical outcomes, and financial integrity for operations.

Prior to her role at Banner, she served as the COO for Unity Health Care, the largest network of community health centers in Washington, D.C., that provides a full range of health and human services to meet the needs of communities through a network of more than 20 traditional and nontraditional health sites. Additionally, she held a previous role as COO for Kansas City CARE Clinic, where she had a long history of supporting the health center, having served as a member of the board for more than a decade in the roles of treasurer and chairman.

Before joining KC CARE Clinic, Davis-Wyatt served as a senior administrative/operations executive with Children’s Mercy Hospital & Clinics in Kansas City. She also had tenures as COO and Ethics and Compliance Officer with HCA Menorah Medical Center and in many capacities on the senior executive team with Health Midwest at Menorah, Overland Park Regional, Research and Baptist Medical Centers.

In addition to the KCU Board of Trustees, Davis-Wyatt’s community involvement has included work with Kansas City Hospice & Palliative Care/NorthCare Hospice House, Black Community Fund, Rose Brooks, Jack and Jill of America, Inc., and The Greater Kansas City Chapter of Links, Inc. She is a former member of the Healthcare Foundation of Greater Kansas City (now known as Health Forward Foundation) where she served as chair of the Finance and Investments and Administration Committees. She has also held board positions with Cancer Action, Kansas City Clinical Oncology and Newhouse.

Davis-Wyatt is a Fellow within the American College of Healthcare Executives and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and General Studies from William Jewel College in Liberty, Missouri, and a master’s in health care administration from the University of Missouri - Columbia.
